Farmacia.pt is a group of pharmacies that sells medicines subject to medical prescription and makes free deliveries in the north of Portugal. They had a simplistic platform that did not allow them to scale the business, since they were very limited by telephone or email contacts and by manual methods, without computerization. The goal was to create a platform that would automate orders, through the web portal or app, by filling out a form and the codes of medical prescriptions. It was proposed to the customer to develop in the backoffice and internal profile of the APP a tool that would allow the collection of orders, accompany the couriers on transit routes and proceed with the payment with the customer's signature.
In my role as a UX designer, I've done my part in our project's success. I began by identifying diverse user groups and understanding their needs, which laid the foundation for a user-centric design. Crafting user journey maps helped visualize and enhance the user experience. Establishing comprehensive UX guidelines ensured design consistency and user-friendliness.
I also played a hands-on role in shaping the UI visuals to not only meet usability standards but also captivate users. Throughout development, I closely monitored progress, providing guidance to align the product with our UX vision. Quality tests were conducted to resolve usability issues, ensuring a polished and user-friendly end product. My multifaceted approach has resulted in a product that harmonizes user needs, visual appeal, and ease of use.
